Our party of five enjoyed an excellent home cooked breakfast. They were short on staff but we were more than well taken care of. We’ll definitely be back again anytime we are in the area!

Went in for the dinner service with waitress Maria and chefs Phillip and Micah. The atmosphere was incredibly inviting and warm, the service bar none, and the food (made from scratch) was delectable. I highly recommend that if you’re in the area you make a stop for dinner. Your palate will thank you!

DO NOT MISS SUE’s! I could rant for an hour about the fabulous experience I had at Sue’s… so I will, but first, the essentials… for those who don’t want to read a book: FRESH food made with all of the love, attentive and friendly service, and quaint atmosphere. I cannot attest to breakfast, which is run by Sue, but dinner, run by the Parkers, was abundant in portion size and the fairest prices I’ve seen this decade. The most accommodating folks to ever run a restaurant!!And now, the long version:The Food: I shared a MOUNTAIN of fried fresh seafood with my boyfriend and we left with enough for another meal. The seafood platter had an entire side of haddock, 4-5 giant scallops, and 8-10 full belly clams. All of this came on top of an ample bed of mixed potato and sweet potato fries, onion rings, and cornbread. Also served with 2 sides of coleslaw and tartar sauce. The seafood was battered and fried to golden and juicy perfection by the German self-taught chef (sorry I forgot his name!) This meal alone was more than enough, but in case it weren’t - when you’re seated you are served a homemade white bread with fresh garlic butter (just how I like it- fresh grated garlic with just enough butter to cream it together - so spicy, fresh, and wonderful). I cannot wait to return to try some of the Chef’s HANDMADE pastas. The special that night was scallop agnolotti, which was really hard to pass up! The chef was so accommodating that he even whipped up a single portion of cocktail sauce for my boyfriend (even though it’s nowhere on the menu) and they didn’t charge us for it! Also, if you’re a lemonade fan- don’t miss the opportunity to try some of their flavored varieties- which are made by mixing in homemade jams! The Service: attentive, accommodating, friendly, generous, kind.. this man went above and beyond for my table, and every other table served. Micha Parker (I hope I remembered it correctly) DONT EVER CHANGE. He took excellent care of us, and even shared some of his test cookies with us- on the house. Apparently these cookies are sold somewhere locally (forgive my failing memory), but they were testing out a lemon iced, blueberry jam filled, sandwich cookie that was lovely, not too sweet, and a perfect ending to a wonderful meal. The Atmosphere: a welcoming cottage-y vibe, with historical photos, lots of plants, and some antique decor. It’s simple, clean, and inviting, and not overcrowded. It’s just what it needs to be.While I cannot attest to Sue’s breakfast, the Parker’s contributions to this unique establishment are divine! This is a true GEM, and I can’t wait to come back for pasta and breakfast. Thank you all for a genuine and satisfying meal!

Definitely worth the stop. Homemade pies and brioche cinnamon rolls. The portions were large, the staff very friendly, and the place was clean. Thank you for being here!

If you want an authentic homemade real Maine diner this is it! We stopped in for lunch because we always saw cars here and had tuna salad sandwich and a BLT. Everything was very fresh - the bread was even homemade. We found out they did a special lobster meal on the weekends for Friday and Saturday night (you NEED reservations) which we couldn’t pass up and we were not disappointed. Coleslaw and corn was VERY fresh. We’re usually pretty picky about our restaurants and we don’t hand out five stars very frequently but Susan has a wonderful place here she really deserves it. We will definitely be back!!

I was staying at Cobscook Bay and stumbled across this place. It was definitely worth the stop. If you are expecting fast service, don't stop. They have one cook that is hustling in the kitchen and making some good food!I would recommend the blueberry pancakes. They were cooked well and tasted great. Everyone in my family loved their meals. We will definitely be eating here on the way out of town.

We were visiting in this area and local people told us we should check this place out! We wanted to make reservations for lobster last night, but it rained. So, we came for breakfast and were not disappointed at all. It is as great as everyone told us. They also make their own bread. I had the raisin bread!! I don't eat very much but they accommodated me by preparing a smaller meal which was perfect! Thank you so much!
